About Massimo Marioni
I’m an international event moderator, MC and interviewer based in London. Before working across conferences and live events, I spent nearly 20 years in journalism, including roles as a Fortune senior editor and a CNN senior producer.
I’ve interviewed the CEOs, Presidents and C-suite leaders behind some of the world’s biggest businesses:
PepsiCo, Pinterest, Snap, Coca-Cola, Yahoo, Mars, Twitch, Spotify, Mattel, Omnicom, LinkedIn, Under Armour, Autodesk, Mercedes, Cadillac F1, Etsy, SoundCloud, BBC Studios, Disney, VaynerX, and Stagwell, among many others.
On stage, I’ve led conversations and hosted at premier global events including Web Summit, Advertising Week, Cannes Lions, Italian Tech Week, GITEX Global, HumanX, Techarena, Arabian Travel Market, the Global Cybersecurity Forum, and Fortune’s Global Forum and Brainstorm AI.
I’m experienced across a wide range of topics—from leadership, AI and emerging tech, to workplace culture, media, social trends, and sport.
I’m especially passionate about exploring performance, mindset, and success through the lens of elite athletes. I've interviewed NFL stars Myles Garrett and Efe Obada, soccer icons Patrick Kluivert and Gerard Piqué, free solo GOAT Alex Honnold, and lacrosse legend Paul Rabil, among others.
A journalist’s approach to live conversations
A strong interview needs more than a list of questions. It needs a clear purpose, a feel for what the audience wants to understand and the confidence to follow a useful answer. I bring those habits to panels, fireside chats, executive interviews and conference hosting.

Working together
Preparation starts with your objectives, your speakers and the people in the room. We agree the format and running order, identify the questions worth asking and plan how the session connects with the wider event.
